Little Sugar Phase 2 Opens for Oz Trails

After five years of planning and construction, the Northwest Arkansas Trailblazers have opened the second phase of the Little Sugar trail system to mountain bikers, hikers, and trail runners. The 25-mile Tunnel Vision loop combined with 14 miles of trail that opened in December adds up to nearly 40 miles of soft-surface riding on the west side of Bella Vista with more to come by the end of the year.

There’s moonshine flowing through these trails. With names like White Lightning, Mule Kicker and Skull Cracker, the gnarly tracks pay homage to the stills hidden in the Buffalo River Valley’s gullies and ridges, but now, instead of bootleggers, these hills are home to some of the most unique riding features in the central United States. Oh, and did we mention there’s a shuttle?
